I just downloaded this app to my iPod touch since my laptop died again a few months ago. I've been reading journals, but haven't posted in like a year maybe?
Neena started pre k and loves it. Lily turned 2 and I'm not loving that. She is ultra defiant.
We live in North Carolina now, if I hadn't already mentioned that. It's alright. Not my favorite place to live, but probably not the worst.
Oh, I'm on facebook too if anybody wants to add me there. I'm Katy Hawley-Cipolla.
That's about it. I'll Ty to actually like "blog" more often now that I have this app.
Hopefully.

Lily's way of saying "again" is to shout loudly "DEE".
Today they were watching a movie, and as I hear the music start up as the credits begin rolling, Lily shouts, "DEE!" "Momma! 'Mere an DEE!"
Translation: "Again! Mommy, come here and play the movie again!"

A week from now, we will be residents of North Carolina. I'm less than thrilled about the move, but what can I do. At least it will be a good move for Guy. He'll be going to a school for 6 months. Oh, and he just reenlisted for 5 years a couple weeks ago. I think we may be in for the long haul.
That's about it for now. Just wanted to give a little update.

Am I a bad mother for turning the t.v. up and praying that my daughter doesn't hear the ice cream truck that is outside right now?
Lily is on the move. She started sitting up on her own, crawling and pulling to stand all in the last few weeks. She's just starting to cruise as well. I think it freaks Neena out, because she can't escape her anymore. lol.
Oh, and when I said Guy was going to be gone for a month soon, I apparently meant 2. Lovin' it. He leaves the monday after next. I need to find a nanny or something. :-p

My night has finally ended. Guy had staff duty or something or other so he's been at work since 8 a.m. and will be getting off of work tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. Since we didn't get any groceries when we got home on Thursday from Boston, we had basically no food, and since Guy took the car to work...we had no way to get food. So I ordered pizza. :D
Neena spent most of the evening in her room. First she peed on the floor and then while I was cleaning that up, she unrolled an entire roll of toilet paper onto the floor in the bathroom. I was a bit on the edge anyway, so I put a diaper on her and put her to bed at 6 p.m. :-p Of course, the pizza came at 6:30 so I let her out to eat and then sent her back to bed. Which was of course a battle of wills for the rest of the night. She kept coming back out and I kept taking her back in. I eventually put up the gate in the door of her room, which started a screaming match. Thank goodness we don't share any walls with our neighbors.
I finally got both of the girls to bed and to sleep by 11:00. Seriously.
So, with the 2 girls sleeping, these are my choices.
a) do all the things I should have done during the day
b) go to sleep
c) shower for the first time in like 4 days
d) curl up with the 3 year old I yelled at all day, because at least she's cute/sweet when she's sleeping
I chose d, with a little bit of b added to it...and now I'm awake because my neighbors were being really loud. So I may go do c. Screw a.

New pictures.
I've been out of touch. But I'm still alive, just contemplating life and what I should be doing with mine. Motherhood is wonderful and terrible all at once.
We're going to Boston at the end of this week. Guy will be running the Boston Marathon. I'll be hanging out with the kiddos. We're going to hit up all our old favorite spots.
Guy was gone for a month a bit ago, and he's going to be gone again for another month. Last time I tried going home for a week and found out how very difficult it is to travel with a 3 year old and a baby by myself. I don't think I'll be trying that again this time. But I am homesick as always. So we shall see.
That is all.

I am typing this from my brand new iPod touch. The commercials make it look a lot easier than it really is. It took me five minutes just to hit the update key. But I think I'm getting the hang of it. My laptop must be jealous because now it is refusing to boot up. Just my luck.
Guy is shaving his legs.
I'm going to laugh heartily the first time he says his legs are cold.

So, today is my birthday. I'm 29 years old. Time for a midlife crisis yet?
I spent my birthday with a fever and cold, with a 3 year old with similar fever and cold, and a 4 month old teething monster. Oh, and I had a mt. dew.
Best part of the day? My brand new niece was born today, on my birthday! I think that's pretty awesome.
I don't know what else to post about, but I promise I won't be gone again for 4 months.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!
